Eve Espey, MD MPH is the Chairperson of the Department of Ob/Gyn, Professor on the faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Family Planning, and Family Planning fellowship director at the University of New Mexico. She is President Elect of the Society of Family Planning and is the Medical Advisory Committee Chair for the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy. She is the Chair of the American College of OB-GYN’s work group for Long Acting Reversible Contraception. She has won a number of teaching awards and has been recognized nationally as a mentor for Medical Students for Choice. She has numerous publications in the area of family planning and medical education and has been involved in international family planning work. Dr. Espey is committed to the care of the underserved and to improving the health and lives of New Mexico women.
