Stroke and brain injury specialists get "ACCESS" to rural NM hospitals

Neurologists and neurosurgeons at UNM Hospital can now help treat patients in rural communities, thanks to an expanding telemedicine program. The UNM Health Sciences Center recently received a $15 million grant to test and expand a video network that is providing much needed specialty care to rural New Mexico hospitals. Dr. Howard Yonas, chairman of the UNM Department of Neurosurgery, explains how it works.
