New maternal-fetal medicine clinic opens in Northwest Albuquerque

The University of New Mexico's Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine has opened a new faculty clinic in Albuquerque's Northwest Valley.

Dr. Ellen Mozurkewich and Dr. Luis Izquierdo will be accepting high-risk pregnant patients for maternal-fetal medicine consultations and ultrasound on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the clinic in the Las Criegos Community Center, 1231 Candelaria NW.

Patients will find easy access and abundant parking at the clinic, attending faculty care and onsite and state-of-the-art ultrasound evaluation equipment, with maternal-fetal medicine consultations available on the same visit.

Patients with medical complications of pregnancy, advanced maternal age and abnormal maternal serum screening are appropriate for referral to these private attending clinics. Genetic counseling is available through the Tele-Echo program at the time the consultation.
