Rocky Mountain RV donates motorhome for UNM Mariposa Hospice Program

Program provides support for children with life-limiting medical conditions

Rocky Mountain RV & Marine is providing the use of a motorhome for UNM Hospital health care providers to use when visiting and caring for children who are in hospice care.

The Mariposa Program at UNM Children's Hospital offers comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with life-limiting medical conditions. Care occurs primarily in the home, with Mariposa Hospice nurses and physicians assisting patients and their families during this time.

Rocky Mountain RV’s gift will allow Mariposa health care providers to assist children and their families with individualized 24-hour care at the child’s home, as opposed to them having to stay in the hospital.

“Words cannot express our gratitude to the owners and management staff of Rocky Mountain RV & Marine,” said Anndee Wright Brown, senior director of development for UNM Hospitals at the UNM Foundation. “Thanks to this amazing gift, our Mariposa Hospice health care staff will now have a comfortable and convenient residence at homes where they are assisting families with children that have life-limiting medical conditions.”
