Transferring care to SRMC clinics quick and easy

Sandoval Regional Medical Center

Looking for quicker access to specialty medial care? Administrators at the Sandoval Regional Medical Center are reminding patients in Albuqeurque and elsewhere that it's easy to transfer a clinic or surgery appointment to the new hospital in Rio Rancho.

“The scheduling operators have been giving patients the option of coming here instead of going to some of the more crowded clinics at UNM,” said Kevin Rogols, President and CEO of SRMC.   “In many instances, patients find they can see a university physician here days – and sometimes even weeks earlier - than by going to the downtown hospital.  Westside residents also like being able to save time on the commute.”

Day surgery has been a very popular option for many people, he said.  The hopsital's emergency department also offers care seven days a week.

“Patients are free to ask about changing locations for some of their clinic visits,” he said.  “That integration of care with medical providers is one of the strengths of the comprehensive care provided by Sandoval Regional Medical Center and UNM Hospitals.”
