New Mexico's billion-dollar bioscience industry needs this to grow, report says (ABQ Business First)

New Mexico's bioscience industry garnered about $1.2 billion in revenue in 2015. That's according to a new report from GrowBio, an initiative headed by the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and the Albuquerque Economic Development Department. But connections are lacking between public entities such as UNM and private businesses to grow the industry, said Dr. Richard Larson, the report's lead author, in an interview. Larson is the executive vice chancellor and vice chancellor for research at the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center.
