"Alliances" Receives Honor

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center's magazineAlliancesreceived recognition by District IV of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) recently with the presentation of two Grand Awards at its regional conference in Houston . The district includes universities, colleges and schools in Arkansas , Louisiana , New Mexico , Oklahoma and Mexico .
The magazine was recognized as the best four-color periodical in the district and received a second Grand Award for visual design.
AlliancesEditor-in-Chief and UNM HSC Vice President R. Philip Eaton, M.D., said that he was delighted with the outcome. "I am very proud of this magazine because it tells the story of the HSC and the important work being done by our faculty and staff. Being recognized by CASE for our work is an added bonus."
Alliances Magazinefeatures articles on how the UNM Health Sciences Center is making a difference in New Mexico through its four mission areas of education, patient care, research and partnerships. The magazine, which is published annually, is mailed to more than 20,000 people across the state, including alumni, students, community members, and civic leaders.
CASE is a professional organization for the advancement of professionals who work in alumni relations, communications and development. Membership includes more than 3,000 colleges, universities and independent elementary and secondary schools in the United States , Canada , Mexico and 42 other countries.
