Anuja Gupta Joins Department of Pediatrics

The University of New Mexico is pleased to announce the addition of a new faculty member in Pediatric Cardiology, Anuja Gupta, M.D. Gupta recently joined UNM School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Cardiology as an assistant professor.

Gupta completed her Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at UCLA Medical Center in 2002 and holds a Masters in Clinical Research from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore , Maryland .

In 1996, Gupta graduated from the University of Bombay in Bombay , India and completed her residency in 1999 in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Michigan , Wayne State University , Detroit , Michigan .

Gupta's research interests include prospective drug therapy clinical trials and preventative cardiology. Gupta will be involved in an outreach effort seeing patients in Gallup , Las Cruses and Lovelace Medical Center with plans to extend the outreach clinic to the Farmington area.

“The Providers” Documentary Screenings and National Broadcast Debut

The award-winning documentary “The Providers,” featuring UNM School of Medicine alumni Leslie Hayes, MD, Matt Probst, PA-C, and College of Nursing alumnus Chris Ruge, RN, will screen on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m in the UNM Student Union Building (SUB). The national broadcast debut of “The Providers” documentary is set for Monday, April 8 on Independent Lens | PBS.
