"Cancer Treatment Research Studies" Next Topic in Cancer Education Series

 A team of researchers from the UNM Cancer Research & Treatment Center will talk about "Cancer Treatment Research Studies" in the third of a four-part cancer education series sponsored by the center.

The lecture will take place Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ronald Gardenswartz Jewish Community Center, 5520 Wyoming Blvd. NE.

Speakers will be: Cynthia Cathcart, M.D., Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Support Program and Medical Director of the New Mexico Cancer Care Alliance; Terry Auvenshine, Research Nurse and Monica Thompson, Program Manager.

The series concludes Dec. 11 with the topic "Cancer Resources in the Community."

The UNM Cancer Research & Treatment Center, founded in 1972, is the only health care facility in the state dedicated to both cancer research and patient care.
