FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sixty-one future pharmacists were pinned on April 20 during UNM's third annual pinning ceremony at the Embassy Suites and Conference Center . The symbolic passage of the College of Pharmacy class of 2007 was witnessed by faculty, staff, alumni, family and friends.

During the celebration, each of the 61 students was presented with a specially designed UNM Pharmacy pin by Dean John Pieper.

The purpose of the Pinning Ceremony is to honor students who are completing the classroom phase of the Doctor of Pharmacy Program and to reinforce the College's value of professionalism to these students as they enter the field of pharmacy for the final experiential year of the program.
