Disc Golf Comes to Albuquerque; Benefits UNM Children's Hospital

Albuquerque residents will get a chance to participate in the World's Largest Golf Disc Contest on Saturday, May 5, from 9 a.m. to sundown. The event will take place at Wildflower Park on San Mateo and Alameda.

The 10th Annual Disc Golf Contest is a worldwide event. The local contest benefits UNM Children's Hospital. Cost is $12 and participants receive a disc and t-shirt.

The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc. Each consecutive throw is made from where the disc came to rest after the last throw. The winner is the player who completes the course with the lowest score.
