Donelson Endows Leadership Award for Women Students in Pharmacy

Joy Donelson, the second woman graduate from the UNM College of Pharmacy, recently presented the College of Pharmacy with a gift to endow a fund for women students in pharmacy.

The Joy H. Donelson Leadership Award for Women Students in Pharmacy will annually recognize women in the college who demonstrate significant leadership qualities.

"I want to encourage women to get into leadership roles," said Donelson. "Now, women make up more than 50 percent of the people in the profession and there should be more than 50 percent in leadership roles, too."
