Dr. S. Scott Obenshain Receives Distinguished Achievement Award

  S. Scott Obenshain, M.D., associate dean of Undergraduate Medical Education within the UNM School of Medicine, recently received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Medical Alumni Association.  Obenshain was a member of the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Class of 1962.<p>

William B. Applegate, M.D., M.P.H., dean of the School of Medicine and senior vice president of Wake Forest University Health Sciences and former UNM faculty member, presented the award to Dr. Obenshain at the School's Centennial Gala.

“The Providers” Documentary Screenings and National Broadcast Debut

The award-winning documentary “The Providers,” featuring UNM School of Medicine alumni Leslie Hayes, MD, Matt Probst, PA-C, and College of Nursing alumnus Chris Ruge, RN, will screen on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m in the UNM Student Union Building (SUB). The national broadcast debut of “The Providers” documentary is set for Monday, April 8 on Independent Lens | PBS.
