Dr. Viorel Raducan, M.D Joins UNM Department Of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation

The University of New Mexico Health Science Center welcomes Dr. Viorel Raducan who recently joined the UNM Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation as Associate Professor of Spine Surgery.

Formerly from the Parkview Orthopaedic Group of Chicago, Raducan's main interest is in surgical spine care with an emphasis on reconstructive spine surgery and pediatric and adult spinal deformity.

While Raducan shies away from conservative, non-surgical treatment, his interests include orthopedic trauma, total joint replacement in the lower extremities and particular osteomities.

Prior to Raducan's employment in Chicago, Raducan was an Associate Professor and Director of Spine Services at the University of South Alabama. He has also completed a comprehensive surgical internship at Notre Dame Hospital, Montreal, and an Adult Spine Fellowship at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Hospital. He is Board Certified in orthopaedic surgery. Dr. Raducan received his M.D degree from Montreal University.
