Elizabeth A. Szalay, M.D., Joins SOM Faculty

Elizabeth A. Szalay, M.D., has joined the UNM School of Medicine faculty in Pediatric Orthopaedics and will be performing surgery at Carrie Tingley Hospital.

Szalay received her orthopaedic training at the University of Texas Health sciences Center in San Antonio and served a pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. She is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedics and a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North American and the Ruth Jackson Society of women orthopaedic surgeons.

Her interests include the treatment of clubfoot, scoliosis, osteoporosis in children and pediatric orthopaedic trauma management. She is active in resident education and education of allied health personnel and primary care providers.
