Get Fit and Help Benefit Children's Hospital of New Mexico

Children's Hospital of New Mexico will receive $49 for each new membership sold during the Health Clubs of America's Workout Marathon. The marathon will begin at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 and end at 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 7. The club is located at 6911 Taylor Ranch Road N.W.

The goal of the marathon is to enroll 500 new members and promote fitness in the community. If that goal is reached, Children's Hospital of New Mexico will receive a donation of $24,500 to help provide life saving equipment and vital programs for the state's largest pediatric facility.

KKOB AM Radio personality Jim Villanucci will be at the club working out and encouraging people to get fit and join the gym. New memberships can be purchased over the telephone during the marathon using a major credit card.

A licensed massage therapist will be on hand to give massages to the marathoners. Prizes, tickets to Laff's Comedy Club and refreshments will also be provided. The first 100 new members will receive a pair of Children's Hospital of New Mexico boxer shorts.

Children's Hospital of New Mexico provides the most advanced and comprehensive pediatric and neonatal care.
