Golf Tournament to Benefit Children's Hospital of New Mexico

The Independent Order of Foresters will host a golf tournament on Aug. 24 to benefit Children's Hospital of New Mexico, the Children's Miracle Network and the Bernalillo County 4-H Council.

The tournament will take place at Los Altos Golf Course at Interstate 40 and Eubank. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 7 a.m.

The tournament is open to the public and will be played in a four-person, fun scramble format. There will be prizes for the longest drive, high and low scores, closest to the pin on all par three holes and hole-in-one. Mulligans will be available for $1 each or six for $5.

The $100 per person entry fee includes golf, cart, practice balls, awards, door prizes and lunch.

With a minimum of 200 golfers, there will be two flights one at 7 a.m. and another at 12 p.m., with 100 golfers in each round. If there are less than 200 golfers, with a minimum of 140, there will be one flight with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m.
