Hooper Joins Occupational Therapy Faculty

 

Barb Hooper, Ph.D., OTR/L joined the occupational therapy faculty in October, 2004 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Hooper, received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University and comes to UNM from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She brings to UNM an extensive practice background working with adults in settings ranging from acute neurorehabilitation to long-term care to community-based mental health and social service programs.  Dr. Hooper's research explores assumptions and thinking processes underlying teaching practice therapists clinical reasoning.

“The Providers” Documentary Screenings and National Broadcast Debut

The award-winning documentary “The Providers,” featuring UNM School of Medicine alumni Leslie Hayes, MD, Matt Probst, PA-C, and College of Nursing alumnus Chris Ruge, RN, will screen on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m in the UNM Student Union Building (SUB). The national broadcast debut of “The Providers” documentary is set for Monday, April 8 on Independent Lens | PBS.
