The UNM Health Sciences Center (HSC) announces the launch of UNM Health, a new patient-friendly system-wide website that provides information on all UNM Health System patient care clinics and hospitals.
“By bringing all the clinics and hospitals under the brand of UNM Health, we have created a clear, unified look throughout the system that will increase the ease of use for our patients,” said Richard Larson, MD, PhD, executive vice chancellor for the HSC.
The site, hsc.unm.edu/health, offers information on all patient care clinics, including UNM Hospital, UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center, Carrie Tingley Hospital, UNM Children’s Hospital, UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, UNM Clinical Neurosciences Center, UNM Psychiatric Center and UNM Children’s Psychiatric Center.
Site visitors will find information on services and locations, as well as links to doctors, appointments, hospital records and much more.
“We wanted a very focused, easy-to-use site and believed the best way to achieve that was by beginning anew with a completely new redesign,” said HSC Communications Manager Dave Groth.
The nine-month long project began with focused interviews throughout the HSC, he said.
“We wanted to make sure all points of view were included and we talked to everyone from senior leadership to the people who work face- to-face with patients,” Groth said.
Web re-design work is continuing. Phases II and III will focus on redesigning academic department and administrative support webpages, he said.
