NM Healthcare Recruiters Showcase Hospitals

As part of its mission to create a strong healthcare community in New Mexico by continually recruiting fresh talent, the New Mexico Healthcare Recruiters Network will hold its first event, a showcase of New Mexico hospitals, on Friday, January 27, 2006 from 10am to 4pm . The event, targeted at medical, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health students will be held at the University of New Mexico in the Health Sciences and Services Building , Room 105.

Professional recruiters from Gila Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services in Gallup, Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Presbyterian, HealthSouth, and UNM will be available to answer questions and provide information on the myriad of clinical practice opportunities New Mexico has to offer.

"I hope students will take advantage of this excellent opportunity to become familiar with the hospitals around New Mexico which provide an invaluable service to the state and to the larger community, "said Paul B. Roth, MD, Executive Vice President for Health Sciences.

The New Mexico Healthcare Recruiters Network is a collaboration of efforts between hospitals across the state and the New Mexico Tourism Department to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare by actively recruiting healthcare professionals to New Mexico .
