Octopus Car Wash is partnering with UNM Children's Hospital for their first-ever customer focused fundraiser to support programs to help the children at UNM.

"Wrap Your Arms Around Our Kids" campaign begins June 1 through June 30. All Octopus Car Wash locations around Albuquerque will sell paper-icons of an octopus holding babies for $1 with the proceeds going to UNM Children's Hospital.

This concept has been adapted from similar programs around the country used by Children's Miracle Network. "This is a perfect partnership because Octopus Car Wash has a magnificent icon to represent the theme," said Steve McKernan, CEO of UNM Hospitals. "Wrapping many arms around our children gives a wonderful visual for the community to support our much needed programs."

"We are pleased to be a part of this campaign to bring awareness to children's services at UNM and in New Mexico ," said Jill Jurkens of Octopus Car Wash. "We thank our customers in advance for their support."

UNM Children's Hospital serves more than 57,000 New Mexico children every year. The hospital offers the most comprehensive care for children, available in New Mexico , and has the highest level of intensive care for children suffering from an illness or injury.
