Physician Advisory Group Under New Leadership

PAG kicked off its first 2019 meeting on January 10th under the leadership of its new Chair Alex Rankin. Rankin serves as an Assistant Professor in Family & Community Medicine and is a former member of the MISSION: Excellence Oversight Council. PAG represents clinical faculty of the UNM Medical Group, Inc. (UNMMG) and provides advice to UNM Health System leadership on policy matters, ease of practice initiatives and program/planning activities. All providers are welcome and encouraged to attend PAG breakfast meetings which now occur 7-8 a.m. the 2nd Thursday of each month* (additional 4th Thursday meetings take place in February, April, June, August and October), in BBRP’s Room 1500. Meetings cover what physicians need to know, featuring communication around MISSION: Excellence, quality updates and compliance information plus discussions with senior leadership. “We value your feedback on topics that are important to the entire UNM Health System and welcome your attendance,” says Rankin.

*Except in March, when meeting is on 28th due to APS vacation schedule.
