Pug Burge Appointed as HSC Chief Administrative Officer

UNM Health Sciences Center Vice President Paul Roth, M.D., has announced that School of Medicine Assistant Dean for Administration Pug Burge will take on the additional duties as HSC Chief Administrative Officer, effective immediately.

"Pug's depth and breadth of experience makes her ideally suited for this position; she is familiar with the organization and operations both of the HSC and the main campus," said Roth in making the announcement.

In addition to direct responsibility for the operation of the Vice President's Office, she will coordinate and serve as the point of contact for the directors of the HSC administrative units. She will also work closely with the College of Nursing , College of Pharmacy , Health Science Library and Informatics Center and UNM Hospitals on HSC administrative matters.

"Together, Pug, as HSC CAO, and Ava Lovell, HSC Associate Vice President for Financial Services, will provide administrative support and financial leadership for the HSC that will help us be an even stronger and more responsive organization," said Roth.
