School of Medicine Researcher Receives Grant from the Department of Defense

Dr. Laurel Sillerud has been selected to receive a grant from the Department of Defense Prostate Cancer Research Program. The proposal "Prostate Cancer Diagnosis through NMR Spectroscopy of Semen" was peer reviewed and selected through a competitive process.

The $112,500 Exploration-Hypothesis Development Award is of interest to the research community and they give hope to the prostate cancer research advocacy groups in New Mexico since their focus is innovative research concepts to prevent, detect, and treat prostate cancer.
