Seasonal Flu Shots Have Arrived

It’s that time of year again. Fall is upon us, kids are in full swing at school, and flu season is just around the corner.

Luckily, the UNM Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) is ready to start immunizing so the flu season won’t slow you and your family down.

The UNM HSC 2011 flu shot clinic schedule is now available. All of the flu shot clinics are open and free of charge to the public. The schedule also shows the minimum age required at each clinic to receive a flu shot so parents know which clinic to take their children.

The very popular UNM HSC drive-thru flu shot clinic will also be conducted this year on Saturday, October 15.

The drive-thru clinics will be set up at the UNM Family Practice Center at 2400 Tucker NE, on the UNM north campus. All you have to do is drive up, stick out your arm and be on your way. You don’t even have to get out of your car.

Please take a moment to watch this quick video of one of our flu shot experts and pediatricians, Dr. Randall Knott, talking about the importance of the flu vaccine.
