Senior Mentors Open House to be Held

Faculty at the UNM Health Sciences Center are seeing attitudes towards elders improve with the success of the School of Medicine’s Senior Mentor’s Program, which pairs seniors with medical students to teach and learn from one another.

The program will be expanding as part of the health professional training programs throughout the health sciences center beginning in September. An open house is being held for current senior mentors Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2-3 p.m.at the Senior Health Program offices at 1720 Louisiana Blvd NE, Suite 300. Mentors will be sharing ideas
