Tigges Elected to Nursing Honor Society Board

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - University of New Mexico College of Nursing Interim Senior Associate Dean for Research Dr. Beth Tigges was recently elected to the Sigma Theta Tau International Board of Directors. She will serve on the board for the next four years.

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing provides leadership in nursing research, practice, and education worldwide. The organization has over 138,000 active members, 463 chapters on college campuses in 20 countries, and an annual operating budget of $12 million.

Tigges has been involved with Sigma Theta Tau for 25 years at the local, regional and international levels. She recently completed serving for four years as the International Governance Committee Chair.
