Educational Program Free For People Facing Cancer

ALBUQUERQUE , NM The UNM Cancer Center, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, is offering "I Can Cope," a free four-week educational series for people facing cancer and their loved ones. Classes are scheduled Thursday April 5, 12, 19 & 26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the UNM Cancer Center, room 240.

The "I Can Cope" program will give participants an opportunity to learn more about cancer in order to make informed decisions and communicate better with their families and treatment team. Trained health care professionals will present information about cancer diagnosis and treatment; the mind, body and spirit connection; and community resources.
