FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Albuquerque, N.M. - The University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital will be the beneficiaries of the ITZ grand opening this Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 5-9 p.m.

ITZ, a new family-oriented restaurant and recreation facility located at 4595 San Mateo Blvd. NE (on the NW corner of San Mateo and Montgomery), has partnered with the UNM Children’s Hospital development office to help raise funds that will support the hospital in its pediatric efforts.

On Wednesday, the UNM Children’s Hospital will have two tables set up at the restaurant to sell stuffed animals, Christmas ornaments and to also collect donations for the hospital. Lt. Gov. Diane Denish will also be in attendance to cut the ribbon for the grand opening.

The UNM Children’s Hospital continues to be a valuable asset to all of New Mexico’s youngest citizens. The hospital provides medical treatment to children throughout the state and provides state-of-the-art services to children in need. It is the highest level trauma department for pediatrics in the state and the only facility in New Mexico that offers pediatric oncology treatment.

ITZ features pizza, pasta, salads, soups and more on a buffet, surrounded by four themed dining rooms that seat 800 guests total. The ITZ fun amusement area features video games, indoor carnival rides, bowling and bumper cars.
