UNM College of Nursing Faculty Hires

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico College of Nursing has hired two new faculty clinical instructors.

Kaylene McCollum, MSN, CNP will instruct graduate students in the nurse practitioner tracts and undergraduate nursing students, focusing primarily on geriatrics. McCollum has 23 years of nursing experience as a registered nurse.

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing from UNM.

James Effinger, MSN, CCRN, will serve as a clinical educator focusing on critical care development. He also earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in nursing at UNM.
