UNM College of Pharmacy Student Awarded Grant to Fund Research Project

Dora Cheung, a Pharm.D. candidate at the UNM College of Pharmacy, has been awarded a $5,500 grant from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.

The award, which is supported by a grant from Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals, Inc., will be used to fund Cheung's research project, "Cardiovascular Risk Assessment in Subjects with Type 2 Diabetes in a Community Pharmacy Setting." Cheung will present the results of her research project at the AACP Annual Meeting held in Kansas City, Mo., in July 2002.
