UNM Hospital Hosts Richardson Pavilion Dedication

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. On Saturday, March 31 local and state dignitaries, hospital employees and the public were invited to participate in a dedication ceremony for the newly constructed UNM Children's Hospital Barbara and Bill Richardson Pavilion.

The pavilion dedication included presentations from New Mexico's First Lady Barbara Richardson and Congresswoman Heather Wilson, followed by the dedication and ribbon cutting at the east side of the pavilion. A picnic lunch was then served to those in attendance and tours were given of the new hospital construction.

The nearly completed, $233.8-million, six-story hospital expansion will provide additional room and state-of-the-art treatment for the children and adults of New Mexico. Saturday's event was only a dedication ceremony and not an actual opening. A set date for the opening has yet to be determined.
