ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - University of New Mexico Hospitals (UNMH) has been selected as one of Nursing Professionals magazine 2009 Top 100 Hospitals to Work For.

UNMH will be featured in a special issue of Nursing Professionals magazine to be published in the Spring 2009 issue. This special issue will be sent to nursing students from over 1,000 nursing schools.

In 2008, Nursing Professionals sent a survey out to 25,000 randomly selected hospital nurses throughout the country measuring their job satisfaction. With a total of five data research associates compiling the return surveys, Nursing Professionals was able to list its 2009 Top 100 Hospitals to Work For, in no particular order.

According to Nursing Professionals, UNMH reflected the mission of the magazine by striving to include nurses at all levels within the organizational structure to effectively serve the best interests of its patients.

The magazine saw UNMH as a leader in the healthcare industry, upholding the importance of healthy living to patients, creating innovative programs and maintaining quality staff.

Nursing Professionals magazine addresses issues pertaining to nursing students, from job opportunities to career advice. The magazine talks about everything "nursing" and the roles that nurses play in today’s healthcare industry. For more information on Nursing Professionals magazine, visitwww.nursingpromag.com.
