The University of New Mexico School of Medicine presents "Practical Cardiovascular Therapy in Primary Care." The conference will be held on Saturday, April 21, at the Sheraton Old Town, 800 Rio Grande Blvd. NW.

The course is designed to provide an update and review of the most recent advances in cardiology. Internists, family practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses are encouraged to attend.

Topics will include diabetes and coronary artery disease, risk factors for coronary artery disease, how to test and treat chest pain, congestive heart failure therapy, and new approaches to the prevention of heart disease.

The conference is sponsored by the Department of Internal Medicine and the Office of Continuing Medical Education at the UNM Health Sciences Center's School of Medicine. Continuing education credits are available for physicians and nurses.
