Friday Morning Drill to Spotlight Preparation, Response

WHAT - Closed active shooter exercise at UNM Hospital involving UNMH leadership, administration and security, as well as UNM Police Department and Albuquerque Police Department personnel. A full evaluation will be conducted following the exercise to identify successes and opportunities for refinement in the response.

WHY - UNMH is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment. The safety and well-being of UNMH patients, visitors, family members, faculty and staff are paramount, and reviewing UNMH security policies and response is an ongoing priority.This closed exercise will familiarize security and other personnel with procedures and guidelines in response to an active shooter emergency in the facility.

WHEN - Friday, June 14, 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

WHERE - UNM Main Hospital, 2211 Lomas Blvd. NE. The exercise area will be closed and secured from UNMH patients and other incidental visitors/staff.

WHO - UNMH leadership, administration and security, as well as UNM Police Department and Albuquerque Police Department personnel.
