Why Elyse Rides

Elyse Eckart trains for the Lobo Cancer Challenge to help others facing breast cancer

Elyse Eckart was diagnosed with stage II invasive breast cancer in September 2017. She finished her treatment in June and then signed up for the Lobo Cancer Challenge. Her team, Riders for Racks!, has already reached its fundraising goal.

In this video, Elyse tells her story about being diagnosed, fighting cancer, beating it, and now training to ride 25 miles "to make sure that everybody in New Mexico has access to the same great care" that she received. Join her on the ride by clicking here.

Registration for the Lobo Cancer Challenge closes at midnight on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3.
